Boxgrove are proud to announce that we have been awarded with the STARS Silver award by Transport for London (TfL) for our School Travel Plan. We have been working hard as a school to make a change and encourage more active, safe and sustainable travel to and from school. It has been a pleasure to engage with the wider community and influence travel behaviours.
The next part of our journey is to be accredited the STARS Gold award. This will involve us working as a school to set high standards to inspire others to transform travel habits, fully engage the wider community to promote best practices, and see a measurable reduction in the number of journeys made by car every day.
At Boxgrove, we will be hosting a range of events to support our goal of becoming a school who are shifting away from using cars to travel.
