Junior volunteer police cadets are recruiting for children aged 10 to 13 years.
We have 3 units that run during term time and meet at local schools:
• Plumstead Manor – Mondays 4.45 – 6pm.
• Halley Academy – Tuesdays 4.45 - 6 pm.
• St Pauls Academy – Thursdays 5 – 6.15pm.
The Aims of JVPC:
To promote a practical understanding of policing amongst all young people
To encourage a spirit of adventure and good citizenship
To support local policing priorities through volunteering and give young people a chance to be heard.
To inspire young people to participate positively in their community.
JVPC cadets will be:
Trying a new activity or hobby, including learning how to march.
Learning about and being involved in police and safety related activities and lessons.
Basic First Aid training
Team games and sports
We have an application process and forms that need completing prior to anyone joining. To register your interest in joining or refer a young person please email greenwich.cadets@met.police.uk
When emailing please give the name, date of birth and address of the person wishing to join as well as the contact details for a parent / carer and the unit they wish to attend.
The cost is £1 per week (when attending). Money should never be a reason not to join and if this is a problem please speak to us.
